Lexi Pederstuen, M. Ed. is a licensed Special Educator in the state of Minnesota. She has certificates as an Academic Behavioral Strategist from Mankato State University (2020) and in Deaf Education from University of Northern Colorado (2024). Lexi is also a trained deaf blind intervener who has worked with children in both the educational and community settings.
Lexi’s passion and interest as an educator started early in life when her sister was diagnosed with a hearing loss. Throughout elementary school, she attended a DHH program where she learned sign language. Those skills followed her into adulthood when she started her first job in education in 2013 as an assistant in a DHH preschool. Since then she has worked as a Deafblind Intervener, elementary Special Education Resource teacher, and Itinerant DHH teacher working with grades Pre-K to high school. She has a passion for supporting students with their language development, positive self advocacy skills in various setting and environments, as well as working with teachers, families, and other professionals in understanding the impact of hearing loss.
Lexi lives is Eagan, MN with her husband, two daughters, and dog. She loves reading, cooking, and spending time outside with her family.
